Treasure Gift From Grandpa

The below gift was given by Grandpa when Der visited Shanghai for the first time. At that time Der was about only 18 months old. On the next morning after we landed in Shanghai, as the first customer, Der's Grandpa visited the nearby shopping mall next to our hotel. He walked into the mall around 10 am, shortly after that mall opened the door. He intended to buy the gift (which is an award winning learning machine) which costed about S$100.00. It is a pretty good machine to assist the young kid learning Mandarin with some standard pronounciation. Der's ears turned to be much more sharper after practising those wordings with such a machine. Sometimes I myself still need to frequently press the button 'repeat' in order to catch up with the questions, however Der was often able to tell me the correct words uttered from that machine.

Under the guidance of these packages, a child could learn how to 'pin yin' a.....e....u.... and achieve bilingual skills (English & Mandarin). The only defect is that some of the English wordings were not pronounced accurately. We have to figure it out and tell Der that which one was wrong, otherwise everytime he pressed the defect one, he would follow it in the wrong way.

Grandpa & Grandma mentioned that they couldn't get a chance to teach Der Mandarin in an appropriate way, so they sought to this self-learning machine that might be able to do a big favor to Der on Mandarin studying.
