The first one from the left is Derick's story book. The second one is that of his most favourites, Miffy's series Book. Derick loves to read Miffy's stories very much. It is still a mystery to me that why he is so fancy of those specific books. Every time while I bring him to the library, he would always walk through the shelves and look for Miffy's stories. I asked and showed him some other kind of books, "JY, Did you see this lovely picture book before? Won't you like it?". He would respond in a consistent way, "No, No! Miffy, Miffy..." then ignored me and rushed for his likings. You can see from above photo that there are two other small books handy for travelling. After reading them for several times Derick can count from one to ten accurately, at the same time he is also able to differentiate the colors, but once I asked him to tell apart the variety of colors, he would utter red and yellow only.
The above picture shows how the book looks alike inside. Derick will always point to the small fish and tell me that is Elmo's baby fish.
It is very cute, isn't it? Did you find the same fish there? That's why he said the fish in the small book belongs to Elmo. He would finger to the wordings and ask me to read it loudly for him. Sometimes I have to read them for him times and times until my mouth was very dry and numb. In any single session he would push me to read overall 4 books continously, gasp... there are so many quite long phrases.
